Sometimes I really hate HP3000, because you forget what you had done 10 yrs ago...
My last system failure on my machine was 10 yrs ago, when I was just trying to put the machine together...
Its 979 and has 3 - 9 gb seagate disk drives on 10/4/24.6, 10/4/24.5 and 10/4/24.4.
It was working ok till this morning, when I tried to bring the system down and do an?update from my sysgen made slt tape (from my secondary backup machine).?
I started the system from the alt path using the SLT tape and at ISL prompt I typed 'UPDATE NOCONFIG'.
Update got aborted with system failure:
System abort 55, subsys 146
info = -6953? subsys 213
system halt, $0037
Anything I tryed after this point (I even tried to do an "INSTALL" with the original SLT tape made on this machine) I keep getting the same system halt message.
Its been so long since the last time I tryed to figure out the system halt, that is not even funny and any help will be very much appreciated, because I am down...?
Thanks a million
Greg
