John says " Until we went into Iraq, I don't think the world realized
how advanced this organization of terror was.".
I think 911 showed how advanced the terrorists were, and I think the
U.S. topple of the Iraq government shows how opportunistic the
terrorists can be.

Who says it's going poorly? I think the coalition forces have destroyed
a
significant part of the opponents war machine and continue to do so.
I heard a 5 star general interviewed this morning on the radio
predicting
what will happen if a civilized presence leaves the mideast. It was
ugly
how many regimes he predicted will fall to this very organized radical
fundamentalist group that is committed to terrorism as a political tool
from which to gain power and followers. This is an aggressive,
organized
enemy that has been operating very stealthily for many years, possibly
masterminded by OBL (who has been awfully quiet...maybe pushin
daisies?).
Until we went into Iraq, I don't think the world realized how advanced
this
organization of terror was.
