When developing a coexisting application interface between HP300-HP9000 most
applications push/pull information from the HP3000. When you look at
connecting up HP9000 Oracle to the HP3000 and accessing the HP9000, I do not
know of any tools to do so, most all the tools go the other way. However, if
your interested in building a TurboIMAGE database on the HP3000 and pushing
transactions from the HP9000 to that database?

Taurus Software's DataBridge will write TurboIMAGE transactions from an
Oracle RDBMS on a HP9000. Then your RPG programs can just go after an
additional HP3000 database.

No, at least not cheap and maybe not from RPG at all.

If you buy Oracle server for the HP 3000, then you could write C or
(I think) Cobol to connect to the Oracle on Unix from the 3000.

If it helps, you could buy Oracle's TurboImage gateway and from the Unix
side
get to the TurboImage data.

There are a couple of "middleware" solutions that cost, too, but I'm not
sure if they can talk RPG.
