The electric ducted fans do a very good job these days as to speed and duration, but most of these planes are fragile foam things that are unfixable after one crash. And good batteries are neither cheap, nor very safe.

I will stick to large-ish piston engine propeller things thanks - 97" GeeBee Y with 5 cyl radial, 22" prop, 23lbs, as at
