The problem, it seems, is not the transfer per se, but trying to print
it. It has been my experience that once a spoolfile has been
transferred, it won't print, because the spooler does not see it as
having been spooled. I use the SPOOLF command to print the file:

  SPOOLF O1234.OUT.HPSPOOL;PRINT;DEV=LP

Subject: Transferring spoolf files

Hello Greg Stigers,

The 3k to 3k spool file transfer problem with FTP seemed pretty easy to
duplicate to me...

1. editor and 2 short lines of text
2. l all,offline
3. ftp o123.out.hpspool to myo123
4. print myo123 <and you see the error>

I don't have an eta to fix yet as I am working on some other heavy duty
problems at the moment. This problem does not seem to be a corner case
problem to me.

Regards,

James Hofmeister
