  Well.. on that issue, I was thinking you would do a remote backup to
your main HP3000 system.  Remember, my feeling for a 908 is to have a
pizzabox/"portable" 3000.  Don't load it down with extras.  The DAT/DLT
could be EXTRA if you need it.  Otherwise, you could use HIBACK or
something like that to backup to a main server.  Reinstall the OS from
CDROM if there's a crash, and load from a server the rest.  I would
assume, since there is POSIX in 5.5, you would have some sort of
rdump/rrestore mechanism that may work well, or you could use the
aforementioned HICOMP HIBACK product (they say it does remote
backups/restores?).

  Also, you could grab a DLT/DAT from around the office if you feel more
comfortable with an occasional offline backup, but I see remote backups
being the more prevalent.  How often does your entire OS or even network
stack get blown away?
