One I use frequently is "Socrates" by Morph Technologies.
It is PostcardWare and has some configuration options.
If all you want to do is hit a page and see how long it
takes to get a response, this works great. You can set
it up to simulate any number of requestors with a given
pause duration between requests (ie. 10 users with one
second between requests for each user).
You can find them at: http://www.morphtech.com

Does anyone know of a good tool (toolset) for stress testing web based
applications?
Thanks in advance, have a great weekend.
