The Micro/XE is a faster version of the HP3000/37 (a.k.a. Mighty Mouse).
We still have one that IS in use: it runs our accounting system, and
passed its tenth birthday earlier this year. (Accounting practices
haven't really changed that much in the past couple of centuries, so we
haven't needed to upgrade.)
We will have to retire it in another year and a half, though, since the
accounting software does have a Y2K problem and the vendor (Multiview)
for some reason doesn't think it's worth upgrading software that runs
only on boxes that were obsolete seven years ago :-). We like the
package, though, so we'll probably stick with their software and run it
on our 925 -- which is in the same price tier.
