Hi Eric :)

Welcome Welcome, to the show that never ends... to quote Three Dog Night (IIRC but we all know about *MY* memory!)

This question was just posted over the last 10 days or so ... ie how to bump idle sessions.... short answer (other than check the archives at http://raven.utc.edu/archives/hp3000-l.html *) is to check Bounce at Allegro's free software page ( http://www.allegro.com/?page_id=77) (Thanks to donna h. (lower case intentional tribute hehehe)

Thanks

Art "where is that RUG conference when you need it!!! hehe" Bahrs

Subject: [HP3000-L] logoff.data.vesoft... Vesoft logoff comand

Hi im new to the site, since I have hp3000 cognos/speedware/cobol experience from years ago, my company is asking if I can knock off Idle sessions on their legacy hp3000 system.

(using VESOFT mpex)

First is the logoff.data.vesoft file something that already should exist, or is it something I would create?

I just want to knock of idle sessions that have been idle for 2 hours, any Ideas?

Thanks

Eric
