Hi,
I'm hoping that somebody on this list may recognize my problem since it
involve making client connections to the HP. Any help or input would be
greatly appreciated.
I've been experiencing problems when attempting to make TCP/IP
connections to our HP platforms. We get the same type of connection
failure using several different tools so I am wondering if there may be
something that must be done on the HP side. As indicated the error is
'10060 Unable to connect to host' and we get it with the following
tools:
Minisoft ODBC/32
Borland Interbase Client (for ODBC access to Interbase on the
HP)
HP Allbase PC/API
FTP
The only consistency that I've noticed is that the failure occurs when
our network access is slow - ie. a ping will show response times > 10
ms. Generally we get successful connections if the response is < 10 ms.
So, has anybody else experienced this? And if so, is there anything that
I can configure in order to tell the Client or server to wait just a
little longer before timming out?
Thanks again,
Mike Patterson
