Hello Nigel,

Please find the answers for your queries.

How does this BRIO front end connect to HP3K?
BRIO connects to HP3K to access tables through an ODBC connection. 

How does it open the database?
It opens the database through the environment file OASDBE(where OASDB is 
the database name). Also we provide the database password and group 
password when we connect to Brio. 

Is the DB access either read or write and is the DB password specified?
DB access is read access. We query the table for a "SELECT ALL" command.

We have provided the read access password to access the table.
