I realize this is a self-contradictory post, but I'm doing it anyway...
 
Please let this die a quiet death, let's not start a debate over it.
Same goes for inadvertant "spams" eg., green cards, whatever.
 
This is a public, unmoderated list.  Noise happens.  If you feel the
urge to reciprocate, please do so by direct e-mail to the originator or
other relevant parties and not the list.  Network experience will teach
you that such nonsense is just a fact of life, there is nothing that can
be reasonably done about it short of making this a moderated list (no
thank you).  Just ignore it.
 
Just make note of this posting.  If you wish to follow-up please do so
directly to me and NOT the list; these things get like the "virus alert"
notifications which end up causing more harm than the virus, if real,
would do.
 
Now to be REALLY self-contradictory let me put it another way...
If you didn't think it belonged on the list, don't perpetuate the issue
by commenting on it TO THE LIST.  Set your phaser on kill and reply to
the originator of the message.
 
Finally, this is in NO WAY meant to be offensive to anyone that has
responded to the list (or may respond after I send this).  Just a quick
reminder of proper "netiquette".
