Generally, no.  However, 5.0 has a change to the Link Editor (LINKEDIT)
that causes problems for some assembler generated code, including
SPLash! code.  Rather than fighting, we changed the compiler to workaround
the LINKEDIT/assembler problem.  The current version of SPLash! generates
code that works on 1.0 through 5.0.
