Although I am very leery of SAP, I am imagining that it CAN work.  Politics
will usually prevent it from being so.....

I have had great success with "Process Simplification" as a method of
re-engineering (and vastly improving) business processes.  Was thinking that
if that analysis is done UP FRONT and then mapped to SAP..... might work out
well.
