If not using Telnet, and you wish to use NS/VT, then the firewall will
require at least port 1570 open in both directions. Use IP fitering to keep
the bad guys out (depending on the firewall software being used). Telnet
used more in a Unix environment, and becoming more so on the 3000 now that
it's out there and becoming much more stable, but the majority of the shops
out there (ourselves included) still use NS/VT, at least for now.
