 Hello.

The only logical explanation I have for the below is some other
process purging the file midway through our process. But nothing in
the log shows any session or jobs running around this time except for
this process.

Below is a clip from a stdlist:

%listf hosprate.pub.acct1,3

ACCOUNT=  acct1      GROUP=  PUB

FILENAME CODE CREATOR CRE-DATE MOD-DATE MOD-TIME ACC-DATE
RST-DATE

HOSPRATE xxx 04 FEB 04 04 FEB 04 08:12 AM 04 FEB 04 04 FEB
04

%if cierror=0
*** EXPRESSION TRUE
%purge hosprate.out.hcia
-----Purging HOSPRATE.OUT.HCIA (4096 sectors)
4096 sectors saved
%setvar cierror,0
%PAUSE 10
%copy hosprate.pub.acct1,hosprate.out.hcia
NONEXISTENT PERMANENT FILE (FSERR 52)
No copy was done. (CIERR 9113)
%if cierror<>0
*** EXPRESSION TRUE
% SETVAR HPAUTOCONT,FALSE
% ... abort this weird mpe file system error
Unknown command name. (CIERR 975)

Group PUB.ACCT1 is on a private volume on an EMC Disc Array. The file
in question was FTPed up at an earlier date from a user. The process
has worked 100s of times before with no problems. Could there be any
other explanation for a permanent file being visible to mpex's listf
but then not there when you go to copy it?

Thanks.
