Hi all,

It's about time to retire our 925 from active duty. The computer is still
going strong, but the supply of HP-IB peripherals is dwindling, and the
supply of reliable HP-IB DAT drives (some think there is no such thing)
has dropped to a critical low. Without reliable backup, I can't use the
machine in production. (There's a guy in Fountain Valley, CA who fixes
HP-IB DAT drives, but at $250 per trip, I've already spent more fixing
mine than it would cost to buy a new system.)

So I'm looking for a used 9x8 or 9x9 system, and can't find one on eBay.
(Stan Sieler apparently has all the good eBay 3000 auctions sent to him
privately or something; he's always finding 3000s there.) If you have one
to sell, and aren't one of the two equipment vendors who routinely sends
me spam, let me know.

Thanks,
-- Bruce

PS. Ironically, our MicroXE is still in production. We use an HP7980 for
backup on that system, and it's still working. Unfortunately, the 7980
doesn't have enough capacity to back up the 925, and I'd just as soon not
push my luck with 14-year-old equipment :-).
