Hi friends !

As some of you know, I'm no longer dealing with HP3000/MPE work, and I'm also no longer dealing with computers at all, except that I'm using one to type this (an HP laptop. You can't teach an old dog any new tricks). I started my own travel company in 2016, under the name Passion USA. More about us here : https://www.passion-usa.biz. Since I'm working from home anyway, my daily schedule has not been too impacted by the current health crisis, though it has somewhat slowed down. Needless to say, I'm not expecting many new orders between now and, say, late-May, early-June. I'm working on already booked trips (no cancellation so far ... fingers crossed), and I have ample time to work on fall and '21 projects. The First Lady of Love is a healthcare professionnal but, since she's been in remote contact with a positive-tested c19 other healthcare professionnal, she's been requested to work from home, which she's been doing starting yesterday. We have a small garden and, as Spring temperatures are creeping up, we are considering working in the garden. We're abiding by the (relatively ...) stringent lockdown rules applicable in France, so we almost don't go out at all. The kids are no longer kids, they have been away for a while. We check out about each other on an almost daily basis. I also check (and occasionally visit) my 85-year young mom, who lives less than a block away from us. So we're just the two of us working from home, plus the dog. As far as the time we're spending together is concerned, call this a dress rehearsal for retirement, which is still 4-5 years away.

I would not call us privileged, but there are definitely worse situations than ours.

Hi friends,

The listserv software tells me that there’s a bit under 400 of us here on this list. Can you check in with a few lines about how you’re managing the C19 crisis, for your work as well as your personal life? If you’re working at home now, after clocking in at the office, how’s that working for you?

Thanks for sharing!

Ron Seybold

We’ll get through these viral times. Together, with respect, and without fear.
