My normal method of importing new text into a COPYLIB is to do something like
the following:

RUN COBEDIT.PUB.SYS
LIB libraryname
EDIT
D ALL
JOIN mysourcecodefilename
L ALL
E
KEEP mynewmembername
EXIT

There is also a COPY statement within COBEDIT.  I never use it though.  Your
input source code file should be just a normal EDTCT file.
