There is someone at Orbit that is working on a GNU port to the HP3000.
His progress can be followed via his web page http://www.dis.com/gnu.html.
I believe there are still no official programs to provide a C++
compiler direct from HP to date, though I agree there is a need.
But unfortunately I have no influence in this area.
