The condition is caused when a "From: .. [log in to unmask]"
or a "Sender: .. [log in to unmask]"
or a "Reply-to: .. [log in to unmask]"
is found in the body of the message in an unquoted form at the beginning
of a line (by unquoted, I mean no leading "> " chars or similar). You
have to quote them, or obfuscate the list name to avoid the error. It
took me two tries to post the original to the list because I kept
missing each occurrance of the above in the original mail, which I
prefixed with ===> and in some cases changed HP3000-L to HP3000L and it
bounced as well.

What now has me totally confused is that *your* mail somehow got
through, with the Outlook "---Original Message---" convention followed
by the original headers, which for some reason did NOT trigger the error
scanner. Does Outlook originally prepend some whitespace? In the
resulting message it does not appear to be quoted yet it went through
just fine. Perhaps it just likes you, Denys.

Your original post included this section (unquoted, though I'm quoting
it here so it won't bounce):

and that last line (sans "> ") should have made it bounce. I'm stumped.
Perhaps it (Listserv) recognizes Outlook, or some other reason for
breaking it's own stated rule.

Jeff
