Some good souls already suggested the latest (GR) spooler patch
MPELX39. However in your setup, i.e. pjl_supported=false, this
patch does not apply, the specific problem it fixes only occurs
with pjl_supported=true.

To know what happens it would be good to see which console
messages you get when the spoolfile gets printed and reprinted.

You may want to increase the data_timeout to the time it takes
these printers to warmup (maybe plus a few seconds, i.e. how long
is 'forever' ?)), I guess that will solve the issue.
