The amusing aside to this thread is that we you do surf to that web site, the link there for subscribing to the listserver is a simple mailto link.

For those isolated from the web, the manual instruction follow:

Maestro-L is a moderated discussion  mail list whose purpose is to promote Tivoli Maestro information sharing, problem solving, and quality improvement  for all operating system platforms and agent types.

To subscribe:  Send email to [log in to unmask] In the body of your message, include only the word SUBSCRIBE. The listserver will determine your e-mail address from the return address of your message. You will be notified by the listserver that your name has been added to the list.

To unsubscribe: Send email to [log in to unmask] In the body of your message, include only the word UNSUBSCRIBE. You will be notified by the listserver that your name has been removed from the list.

Does that mean that indeed there is no mailing list to SUBSCRIBE to ? A few
of my associates are not web enabled ( by their own ignorance ), but have
ready access to POP3 and SMTP services. Usually a list server can be
SUBSCRIBE'd to in some form or fashion. Maybe emailing [log in to unmask]
would yield some more information.

No web access?





Try a nearby public library...they should have a web browsing
terminal/PC/whatever available that you could use to sign up.

The posting implies that once you've signed up via the web,
the rest of the stuff is web-free...just an ordinary email list.


BTW...I recommend getting web access.  It's sort of like
having a phone, only more important :)
