I have recently upgraded to 5.0 of MPE/iX.  One of the reasons I did this
was for ftp.  This is working fine.  Another reason I did this was for all
of the UNIX software people are porting to the HP3000.
 
I downloaded 'sendmail' from the www.interex.org but I can't get the install
stream job to run without errors.  I get messages about not having a
/usr/local/bin subdirectory and not finding the /etc/sendmail.cf file.  I am
also puzzled by the documentation's lack of mention of a large file called
SENDMAIL.TARGZ.CSLXL.
 
Has anyone else made this work?  Is there some undocumented trick?  I
couldn't find anything in the FAQ.
