In test (a POSIX utility available on MPEix/7.5 and earlier) one
may check for the existence of a file thus:
if [ -e hfs-filename ] && echo success
How does one do this in a JOB file running in the HFS space?
FINFO does not seem to work for me.
> :setvar _T_ ![finfo("\BACKUPS\SYSTEM\STDTST.1.1","EXISTS")]
> :SHOWVAR _T_
> _T_ = FALSE
>
> :LIS /BACKUPS/SYSTEM/@
