I've ran sysinfo on several mirrored systems(5.0 pp4) and never had a problem
with it
disableing mirroring...

Actually, now that Jeff has stirred my wetware a little, I recall that when
sysinfo is run, it knocks one side of the mirrors off, too, but I don't
remember the state of the drive. A re-boot fixes it (haven't tried any other
technique).
