Okay....  here is a summary of all the replies I have recieved so far....

I have checked everything suggested, and the field still is not being made
secure.

1.  Check under the "T" terminal/language selection for the form and make
sure
the HP262x,HP239x selection is picked. I think you may have one of the older
models selected that did not support security enhancements.

2.  To use security takes three steps:

  *  choose the S type display enhancement on the Field Menu,
  *  select appropriate terminal family on the Terminal Selection Menu, and
  *  use only visible brackets.

We have our PC's setup to emulate the 70098.  These work with our older
application
that mine will be replacing, which has not been recompiled in a great number
of years.

Any other ideas?
