Problem with Qpopper after 5.5->6.0 upgrade

I had Qpopper running fine under 5.5 and just upgraded to 6.0 this past
weekend.  Now when I try logging on with my mail program I receive:

-ERR System error, can't open temporary file, do you own it?

I assume that the upgrade changed the security on some directory/file
that Qpopper is using.  Does anyone know where it tries to build a
temporary file and what the security settings should be?
