Abert, 9600 lines?  last i checked, 56k lines were the same price, check into
 it.
also, I am running extensive DDS lines with both voice and data multiplexed on
them, and typically can run 6 voice paths and 60 terminals and printers at 9600
 baud on each circuit with no or very little delays.... mathmatically, with my
 network running at your speed, i should be able to run 10 terms and 1 voice
 path with no trouble.. (9.6 being 1/6 of 56.0)

are your lines running clean?   my equipment keeps track, i hold my telco
 vendors and local loop folks to a very high standard,  if they are dirty, your
 performance will suffer quite a lot.
