I am working on the configuration for a new system and I would like some
"infinite wisdom" from those who have gone before.
1) How big of a perfomance hit should one expect when using the 4Gb F/W
discs instead of the 2Gb SE drives?
2) How do you configure a RAID for the system_volume_set? I guess you put a
minimum amount of disk "internal" and place the RAID on another channel.
3) What is the practical number of discs recommended (for performance) on
both SE & F/W channels?
4) Which model number discs were the ones that "seemed" to have a higher
failure rate?
5) Any "words of wisdom" from those how have real experience with a RAID as
the system_volume_set and/or fully "mirrored" systems

Thanks
