What version of Reflection are you using? The older ones are not
certified
for Windows 7.

And you can get past the telnet issues by using a DTC with a telnet
engine
or the Free-VT3K server.

File equating stdlist to a file and reading it after the program ends
is=20=

useful but what I find more useful is passing the executing view=20
program a session number that you have open but is at a colon prompt=20
and then having the view program call the command intrinsic to send=20
TELL messages to the spare session. That way you can see what's=20
happening as the program runs without having to wait for it to
end.=20=20=

You can even "display" paragraphs as the code runs.

When I do this i leave the logic in the code to do the TELLs but only
if=20=

the session ID is > 0. That way if there is no session ID specified
the=20=

program does no displays but if you need it some day - even if it's=20
running on a production box, you can send it a session ID and all of
a=20=

sudden you have trace displays available.

Grebster, IRS was offering a Generic REplacement Box (PA-RISC) that a =
company would not need to own.

The software, at that time, was not for sale. Has that changed, or is =
the we-lease-to-you GREB offer the only one available? While GREB users
=
do exist, they have been shy about testifying to the goodness of their =
solution for me in the NewsWire.

I'd love to hear from you if you're using GREB...

Greetings,

We are still using lots of terminals in the Department of Corrections.
If you want to get a rise out of me, just refer to them as "dumb
terminals", as in, "is the user on a PC or a dumb terminal?".

I'll quickly point out that an HP 700/92 is a very intelligent terminal,
thank you. If you don't think so, you've obviously never used a real
"dumb terminal".
