Really, Really off-topic: Switching NetWare licenses

I apologize up front for throwing this one up against the wall.  It is
really off-topic.

I have two NetWare servers.  A new NetServer LH with a 25-user license and
an older Compaq ProSignia 486 with a 50-user license.

We're about completed switching the users from the Compaq to the NetServer,
and I need to switch the licenses.

My initial thought is to "simply" install the license disks as if I were
doing an update, but will this work?

Has anyone ever tried this?
