Theory: Someone in the shell types "ed" because maybe "ed" is a UDC/Command
outside the shell that runs an editor. Inside the shell it does nothing obvious so the
person does a BREAK/ABORT and you then wind up with a file such as above.
Not sure where the 'sort' file might originate from since I cannot reproduce that by
perhaps the same deal?
