Shawn,
This could be caused by a few things:
- does the dataset actually exist? (probably, since your DBGET
worked :) )
- does security on the dataset prevent access?
- too many other files open by the process?

Subject: Weird DBDELETE error

I am suddenly getting a strange DBDELETE error, and I cannot for the life of
me figure out what the problem is, the DBGET and DBLOCK prior to it are just
fine. There's no backup going on, and a couple of people are in the
database, but no locks are held. All locking is at the set level, and I am
doing unconditional locks. Here is the message.
TURBOIMAGE ERROR AT $0000ddb4; RETURN STATUS = -1
DBDELETE, MODE 1, ON MAIL-D OF FYIDB.PUB.SMGA
MPE FILE ERROR 0 RETURNED BY FOPEN ON DATA SET #6
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Shawn
