Or use QCTerm. Over the years, HP has changed its mind several times on which
characters the terminals displayed under Display Functions and which were
not. As Tracy mentions, the oldest terminals displayed everything. Then,
during the Middle Ages, the displays of certain characters became optional.
And now, in the Modern Era, nulls and dells are just gone.
Not having the newest terminals display nulls and dels was one of the things
I always found extremely irritating. They're often quite important to
understanding what is going on, and when I want to see what I want to see, I
need to see everything, not just an edited version. Now, with QCTerm, being
the master of my own fate, it was one of the first decisions we made:
everything displays in Display Functions, with no options to edit anything
out.
