XM log files are on the master volume of each volume sets. There are 1 system
log, 2 residual logs and 1 user log per volume set. System log protects
system structures (ex. label table, directory, disk space allocation map)
and its size is 13,032 kbytes. Residual logs support incremental recovery
for system log and their size are 10,000 kbytes each. User log protects
user files (ex. IMAGE/SQL, KSAM, user logging) and its size is 66,064 kbytes.
Together they occupy roughly 96.25 megabytes per volume set.

Check out my paper "Overview of MPE/iX Transaction Management" for more
details about XM. It can be found in Interex 96's preceeding or Interact
(around Oct. 95 issue).
