I don't know what GODXL does but I had assumed that it simply turned on 
all the capability bits. If that's all it does then couldn't you use the 
HPUSERCAPF CI variable to reset the user's capability back to what they 
were? Or, if GODXL goes that extra step and somehow changes that 
variable to reflect what it did you could save the content before 
running GODXL and use the copy to reset the capabilities.

Just a thought...
