I'm confused by this given that there were more hours of MPE centric
presentations/mtgs/etc. than the previous 2 years. However, the number of
attendees that indicate they are MPE users appears to have declined.

The show content itself was more than double that of last year, so given
a perspective of MPE presentations to all talks, indeed it is a smaller
percentage
than in previous conferences.

In the MPE talks/etc. which I attended, I think the largest number of folks in
any one of them was around 30, and a good share of them were vendors or
consultants. We can all remember in years past when there had been cases of
standing room only talks. So clearly the make-up of attendees and their
interest
is evolving. One can also witness the drop in MPE-centric vendors in the
exhibit area, and some (definitely not all!) of those that were there had
down sized
the amount of booth space they had over previous years. Most all of those
vendors
that have been attending for many years were there, such as MB Foster, Lund,
Orbit, Bradmark, Robelle, Taurus along with many others whom I've probably
overlooked
mentioning so I'll apologize in advance.

I would have to disagree that Interex is moving away from the MPE
community, witness
the 2 MPE symposiums they conducted earlier this year. Rather, the
community itself
is evolving similar to the rest of the industry and it's being reflected in
several aspects of
the conference. If Interex was indeed moving away, then why were their
more MPE
presentation hours this year than last year? I submit that because the
conference was
broader with many other areas/tracks, that MPE itself appeared to be a
smaller, when
in reality it was not.

I agree! Jon and the others need our on-going support.
