Hi gurus,

maybe someone can help me with a NBDAEMON related question...

I tried to setup indet.conf to have INETD launch SMBD server
processes for request on (well-known) port number 139 but did
receive some error message inside the JINETD job listing.

At first I thought, it might be neccessary to have SMBD use
priv mode due to the "low" port number but scratching my head
once or twice this made no sense... because INETD is doing the
bind() and SMBD inherits an already open connection.

A closer look revealed that port 139 is already occupied by
some NBDAEMON.PUB.HPLANMGR process. I suspect this belongs to
Resource Sharing somehow. Does anybody know how to get rid of
that daemon? Do I need ghost-busters ;-) or is there a command
or utility to stop that process and free port 139 for my use?

Lars/iX
