Subject: HP3000 & ISDN

I hate putting forth questions that show my ignorance about networks, but
one has to start learning somehow.

[snip]

So my questions are:
1. Does the HP3000 'support' an ISDN connection?

2. Are there any additional HW/SW needed to 'handle' an ISDN connection?

3. Any recommendations for providing connectivity to such a remote site
    would be appreciated.

Paul -

ISDN is one area where many 'knowledgable' people still shake their heads, and I was
one of them, until Cisco sent me a free book on the topic which explained it in the
language that anyone could follow (which was unbelievable)...ready for the title???

    "ISDN For Dummies"

Yes, one of the 'dummies' series...and I'm serious - if you want to know all about
ISDN, get this book!

As for whether the HP can use it...as long as the NT-1 (the device which sits on the
line and runs interference) has a serial port, and most do, you should be able to
use it.

TIA.
