Probably something along the lines of making members special since they pay
their money and the others don't.  Also, who besides members are interested in
"inside" Interex stuff?  And, possibly influenced by a mind set held-over from
the CSL requiring a member ID number.

It's a policy that could be changed if that is what members want.
