Hello Folks @ 3000-l,

RE: FTP open command (FTP/iX's 50 Sin's /?;~)

Here is a quick update on an old 3000-l thread:

Just a quick note for those folks who mentioned that FTP does not
time out on a bogus IP address:

  ftp 99.99.99.99

What I found was it actually was timing out, but after 10 iterations
of the configured TCP timers.

This is fixed in FTPGDN1 6.0, FTPGDN0 6.5 and FTPGDM9 7.0.

These are Beta Test patches which can be picked up at the HP
Response Center as per:

  SR: 8606-231617 (6.0, 6.5, 7.0)

"Connection timed out" - too long timeout on OPEN by IP address.
