Perhaps the grand sage in Tennessee will shed some light on the disappearing
post.  There have been strange things going on recently, and I guess it's a
good idea to reply to two or more just so this kind of thing doesn't go
unnoticed.

I see a problem on this thread.  The folks are missing a message that
Tim
sent toward the end of the afternoon to the list with a copy to me.  I
responded to his message, also copying the list, but I never saw Tim's
message posted on the list.

Now, my message made it to the list, and in it I had included Tim's
message.
Bill, John, Chuck and Craig, your otherwise excellent posts did not seem
to
be in response to the latest from Tim.

I do agree that a backup would be a great thing to have available but
Tim
has timing problems, I think.  His latest strategy consists of doing the
move in piecemeal fashion, and at that time, he should be able to take
backups as needed.

And if your restore takes twice as long as your backup, you have
opportunities for improvement.
