Ditto: We have been running Mirror/iX for over four years on
our 959KS/200. 5 x 4GB in each mirror in USER volume set
(soon to become 5 x 9GB in USER and 5 x 4GB in BACKUP).
Flawless performance; have not lost or needed to replace
a single spindle... EXCEPT:

We (er.... I) stumbled once; and even though it had been
mentioned long ago on this list while doing something else in
SYSDIAG I had the instant bright idea I would run IOMAP.....
BZZZZST !!!... result is what Dennis and others mentioned:

> 1. Using SYSDIAG, IOMAP on mirrored drives may result

After talking to the HP RC, my understanding is that this usually
ends up being "WILL RESULT" rather than "may result"...
anyway, one Master in our USER volume became disabled and
had to be rebuilt. Rebuild was routine; no problems... but:

Even though this "gotcha" is now mentioned in the 6.0 System
Software Installation and Update Manual, HP needs to get with
the program and fix IOMAP; so it does not cause Mirror/iX to
blow up one spindle in the master pair in a mirror set....
