Agree totally gentlemen!

Islam, unfortunately, is in a state of complete dysfunction and is on the
road of total self-destruction. It is as if all the Protestant Churches in
the United States were taken over by the Ku Klux Klan, or if the Vatican
were taken over by the Nazi Party.

There was a time in which Islam had many voices, many views. It welcomed and
encouraged change, modernization, science, exploration and overall, peace.

But now there is only one harsh scorching wind of hate and death. We of
other faiths and nationalities can not affect change in the Islamic world,
for there is nothing we can do.

I fear that only after a great loss to the world, and the complete
annihilation of the present Islamic theocratic class, will we see the end of
this.

Peace in this case, has a high price for us all.

When you find that the Islamic year (or 'Hejira' - ie After the Flight of
Mohammed (PBUH) from Medina to Mecca in AD622) is 1423 AH, you know where
some of them stand in chronological terms.

There was once a joke in Saudi in the mid 90s that they would allow women to
drive in 1999 ----- Hejira, not AD!!

Sounds like Islam is in need of a Reformation. Perhaps after such a "navel
examination" a more rational and empirical worldview will be ushered in, at
which point this and all the other religions/faiths can be consigned to
their place in the history books. At least there'll be one less label used
for differentiating peoples from one another.
