Query - multifind - update

Did a query multifind search last nite, and wanted to update one of the
fields.

The query update told me "record has not yet been found".  When I had
obviously found 200+.

Yes I did a join first, and I could report on the field/records.

Any thoughts ?  Yes I had opened the DB in mode1...
