Don't sweat this- the HP3000 DTC, ATP, ADCC all have DCE interfaces (sort
of) and the HP Terminals and the HP150 all have DTE interfaces, you need
a standard, straight-through cable with either 2,3 and 7 for direct
connects and 2-8 plus 20 for modem connects.  I know these have worked
for me over the last 18 years.  Now if you want to connect a modem, mail
me a message and I will try to explain why the HP can be very
frustrating. Even HP cables won't work with all modems.
