You don't say what release of HP-UX you are on. If it is 10.X, then
you have two choices:

1.) man set_parms will tell you how to use set_parms to change all the
hostname and network-related stuff on your box. However, it won't
change any DNS information that might be hosted on the box. You have
to update your DNS tables by hand.

2.) You can edit the file /etc/rc.config.d/netconf by hand. It's
fairly easy to figure out where to go and what to do. If you do it
this way, you will also have to go to files like /etc/hosts to
manually change the hostname there as well. (set_parms will do that
for you).

just in case... :)
