The HPSUSAN is embedded in stable storage and can only be set by a CE
using a program on a portable PC which generates the number. He then
runs a low-level program (ss_config) on the HP3000 to set the value.
Because the HPSUSAN is based upon machine model and serial number (and
other parameters??), I'm not sure it can, or should, be changed.
Perhaps, an HP person can speak to this?
