Hmmm... true, I am now a major advocate of Linux, but with a certain amount of mirth I can say, "Aha!  You've fallen into my trap!  iTunes isn't available for the HP3000 either!" :)

Of course, if the end product is merely "an mp3" of the music, then I'm fairly certain things "will work" for just about every [PC] platform and OS.  And, in an obscure way, even the HP3000, working as "merely a file (or web/ftp) server", can indeed "store" these files or otherwise act as a repository -- bits are, after all, bits...

OTOH, if the "end user" needs to run client software to talk some inane protocol just to retrieve the file [and possibly respect certain DRM "bits"], then it is unlikely that "other systems" will get to play in that sandbox...
